A Fond Farewell to Our Elizabeth

If you shop in any one of our three Hammertown stores, you’ve probably met Elizabeth Johnson.  If you wanted to know ANYTHING about Mitchell Gold furniture…you talked to Elizabeth.  If any of her co-workers (like me) needed help with the retail computer program…we called Elizabeth.

Unfortunately for us, Elizabeth has moved on to greener pastures in North Carolina.  Her positive can-do spirit, sense of humor and total attention to detail will be sorely missed by all of us here at Hammertown.  Thanks, Elizabeth…for everything!!

One of her co-workers, Sara Parrilli from our Great Barrington store, says it all when she posted this comment on our blog:

Pretty in Pink, With An Opinion Too

Last night I attended a goodbye party for our lovely Hammertown coworker Elizabeth Johnson. She’s a women’s confidence coach and an amazing individual with interests ranging from women’s studies to animal rights to a love of vintage clothes. Follow the link to her website to read some of her own work. Her favorite color is pink, so I had excuse to try baking something resembling petit fours.

  1. In general, people stay in jobs because they are challenged, encouraged and empowered.  I am no exception.  I loved my work at Hammertown, especially (as Joan and Rhonda know well) any dealings with the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams furniture.  But I can’t say enough about the women of Hammertown and the one fabulous guy (you know who you are!).  They are the most amazing, supportive, generous co-workers that one could ever ask for.  I miss all of those fabulous gals very much but I know they will all visit me.  Just not all at once :-) XXOO, Elizabeth
