The Petit Appetit Cookbook

Lisa Barnes, owner of Petit Appetit, wondered why so many children were eating strange colored, mass produced food from a jar.  “When attending baby showers, all of the moms said they intended to make their own baby food,” says Barnes. But months later when the babies were ready to eat solids, those moms didn’t have the time or energy to research recipes and didn’t trust their culinary skills with baby food.

“Pediatricians believe first foods can have permanent effects on growth, strength, the immune system and intelligence.”  In this cookbook Barnes offers recipes to help parents give their children a healthy start by preparing nutritous (and delicous) foods.
