Love Where You Live

It’s that time of year again — our annual trip to High Point, NC.

Rhonda and I were “on the road again” to find wonderful things for our store and your home.   We left last Friday and returned Tuesday.  It’s always exhausting but worth it because we find great merchandise for Hammertown.  Next week I will have a sneak peak of some of our High Point finds so make sure you check our website then!

love-where-you-liveWhile we were away, Rhonda and I began to talk about our design services.   We thought we should remind all of you that Rhonda, myself or Danielle are always available for design consultations in our stores.

However, you’ve been asking us for years if we would come to your home and help you…choose the right size furniture, work with pieces you have and move things around, choose paint colors, etc.   So we’ve decided we’re going to make that happen.  One of us will come right to your home to help because we believe you should you should absolutely “love where you live”! Good design is an investment not only in your home but in your sense of well-being.  It nurtures your family and your soul.

Great Room (photo: Elliot Kaufman)I am always amazed when I look back on design work we have done in the past.  It never looks dated.  It still looks fresh and alive…it is classic!  That’s what we at Hammertown can do for you: Bring you design trends that look as beautiful today as they will 10 years from now.

When we got back from High Point, I started putting things away and cleaning out my office files.

charlotte-mantleI came upon an article from Victoria Magazine (click to see the article and more photos) about “Charlotte”, a restaurant we did some years ago in Lakeville, CT.  My daughter and her husband owned it for 3 years (we still hear from people how much they loved and miss it).  We helped design and furnish the restaurant and when I looked at the pictures in the article, it still seemed as fresh and vital as it did 10 years ago…now that’s great design if I do say so myself.

So, take advantage of our expertise…our design sense…our fine products…our experience and our dedication to making houses into homes.  Email me at: joan@hammertown.com and we can start planning how you can fall in love with your house all over again!
