“SHOP FOR A CAUSE” HAS BECOME ONE OF HAMMERTOWN’S MOST POPULAR EVENTS.
Each year we donate 10% of our sales for a week from all three stores to benefit the Berkshire Taconic Foundation. Last year we raised over $18,000 which all went to support funds for our local area (Fund for Columbia County & Northeast Dutchess Fund).
Hammertown also hosts the Silent & Live Auction, with a Wine & Cheese Reception (featuring wine and food from local farms and restaurants).
This year 100% of the money raised will go directly to the Neighbor-to-Neighbor program for Columbia and northeast Dutchess County. Neighbor-to-Neighbor provides funds to individuals and families who are in great difficulty and need an emergency financial boost in a particular area of their lives to help stabilize their immediate situation.
Some of this year’s items up for bid include:
- A Private Tour of the White House
- A Cocktail Party for 20 at Bunny Williams’ Home
- A Guided Tour for Six at the Museum of Natural History
