Maplefest at the Sharon Audubon
Saturday, March 20th
10:00 am-4:00 pm
$5 adults, $3 children
Open house of the Center’s sugaring operation. Guided tours (approx. 45 minutes long) take place between 10am and 4pm.
Attendees will learn how sap is collected from the trees, take a stop in the Sugarhouse to smell the sweet aroma of fresh maple syrup boiling in the evaporator, and discover Native American and Early Colonial methods of making maple sugar. The Center’s fresh maple syrup will be available for purchase in the Nature Store while supplies last.
