News from The Stissing House + Restaurant Week Menu + Easter

From Patricia Jean at the Stissing House:

IMPORTANT UPDATE:  Make your reservation for Easter now!  We are taking reservations for Easter (April 4th) and will be open from 12-5 only that day.  We’ll be serving a special menu which we’ll be telling you about soon!

While composing a new message for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, I realized that I had never completed sending the last newsletter announcing our vacation dates. Many apologies to those of you who had already made plans to come to dine with us in the next two weeks. Can we take a raincheck?

Our vacation dates are March 4 to March 17th. Michel is off to Brazil, and I am enjoying mud season in Pine Plains. Hmmm….

At any rate, we will be re-opening on March 18th with our regular fare, and 2 special menus for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week(s):  March 18-28th.  The theme is local, so our farmers have put aside the seed catalogs for a bit to reach into their root cellars and pastures for the following products:  Eggs, cream, lamb, partridge, cheese, potatoes, leeks, beets, apples, pears, and trout (if the ice comes off the pond in time).
