This is a ground breaking, visionary endeavor and I think it’s going to be huge. I’m excited to see a monumental project and business like this right here in our area. I believe they are doing something that is going to have an enormous impact on our community — on so many levels. That’s why I’m encouraging you to visit Helsinki.

Helsinki is known for bringing great bands and other musicians to their stages but in this new large space they’re able to do even more (click here to see all their venues ) from Tango and Swing Dancing lessons to Open Mic nights to fabulous food! Just this month their new restaurant (called “The Restaurant”) opened. The Restaurant features “Rustic New American” cuisine. It adjoins Club Helsinki Hudson and is magnificently situated in an 1860′s refurbished industrial complex that includes an upstairs ballroom and private events hall. But more than anything else, I believe they are going to help our community by employing local people, doing educational outreach in the area, and giving back. This is what local living is all about.
