Sometimes it’s those challenging events that we share that bring out the best in everybody.
I just heard from Bonnie Hundt, of Hylton-Hundt Salon, that they’re running an “ad” on WHDD offering COMPLIMENTARY SHAMPOOS to anyone who still doesn’t have power in their homes.
Living in a rural area is wonderful but for many, living in the country also means you get running water from your own well…which means you need an electric pump to get that water, so losing power brings a whole set of special frustrations.
There are still so many people without power in our area and we wanted to do something to help. Some of our Connecticut clients have told us power is not expected to be restored until Sunday…some even up to two weeks. Having someone shampoo your hair is always nice but under these circumstances…when you haven’t been able to wash your hair in days — it’s absolute heaven! In times like this, a community needs to reach out to each other and do what we can to help everyone get through it. People are so grateful. — Bonnie Hundt
