Hammertown Barn is an award winning home and lifestyle store that began as a little room in an old horse barn in 1985. Hammertown has grown up a bit over the years. We now have two stores located in the Hudson Valley region of New York, the Barn in Pine Plains and our sister store in Rhinebeck. Hammertown’s third store is in the Berkshires, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Hammertown features Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams furniture, lighting, antiques, kitchenware, rugs, bedding, kids toys, books, and much more. Our “mother store”, in a 19th century barn in Pine Plains, has it all, while our two other locations focus on home furnishings. Read more about us or learn more about our three stores below.
Our Stores
Stissing Design
One of the many reasons I love Tim’s work is in his clever details. Each one-of-a-kind piece is made with such care and originality it’s like buying a wonderful piece of art.
Upstate Films
I always get the feeling as I enter Upstate, that I’ve stepped back in time...It has an authentic soul and you can tell the people who run the theater love what they do.
Rembrant Painters
As a home stylist with a practice in upstate New York, Connecticut and the Berkshires, I see them as "my painters of choice." - Wanda Furman
No. 9 Restaurant – Millerton, NY
I have been a huge fan of Taryn & Tim Cocheo since they were at The Bottle Tree in Ancram, NY. To their Ancram fans' dismay, they closed The Bottle Tree & headed to Millerton... Ancram's loss is Millerton's gain!
A.G.S. – Professional Home Delivery
I cannot say enough great things about them. They are a family-run business and take pride, care and responsibility for their work.
Rural Intelligence — Be “in the know”!
If you want to be “in the know” about the arts, food, home, garden, music, shopping and day trips…this is the website for you!!
Hylton-Hundt Salon
I had been hearing Rhonda talk about her "Hairapy" at Hylton Hundt Salon for quite a few years. "Bonnie not only makes me look beautiful, she clears my mind and nourishes my soul!"
Caroline Phipps – Health Counselor
Could one conversation change your life? After one consultation with Caroline I was on a journey to find out more about me, the food I eat, and on the road to a healthier lifestyle.
Hudson Valley Fresh
Hammertown is supporting this not-for-profit dairy cooperative because they are dedicated to help the remaining farms in our region to not only survive, but to thrive.
Red Devon Market Bar & Restaurant
The Red Devon not only uses seasonal, local & sustainable ingredients in the delicious food they serve, but they are responsible local stewards of the land from which that bounty comes.

The Stissing House Restaurant & Tavern
"The Mushrooms Alone are Worth the Drive!" (N.Y. Times) When I first heard the former owners of the famed, Provence bistro in New York City were taking over the Stissing House, I was beside myself with anticipation and excitement.
WKZE – 98.1
By advertising on and listening to KZE, we are supporting their spirit of independence and at the same time we’re putting money back into our community.
DePreter DeSigns – Signage & Sculpture
Jon is an enlightened and talented craftsman, who is always a pleasure to work with.
Dennis Wedlick Architect LLC
His iconic roof lines, his contemporary farm house designs, his belief in sustainability, and his honest respect for the American home all put him at the top of my list…
The Valley Table
“The magazine of all things epicurean up and down the river.” So says the New York Times and I couldn’t agree more.
Paula Redmond Real Estate
This lovely c.1845 farmhouse overlooks 37 plus acres of open fields, pastures and pond on a bucolic country road.
Little Gates & Co. Wine Merchants
What I really love about Little Gates is the thoughtfulness with which they choose their wines and in how they talk (and listen) to their customers who are looking for recommendations.
