Hammertown Barn is an award-winning home and lifestyle store that began as a little room in an old horse barn in 1985. Hammertown has grown up a bit over the years. We now have two stores located in the Hudson Valley region of New York, the Barn in Pine Plains and our sister store in Rhinebeck. Hammertown’s third store is in the Berkshires, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Hammertown features furniture from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and Lee Industries, as well as lighting, antiques, kitchenware, rugs, bedding, kids toys, books, and much more. Our “mother store”, in a 19th century barn in Pine Plains, has it all, while our two other locations focus on home furnishings.
We are a family-owned and operated business with committed employees. It is our mission to inspire our customers so that coming to a Hammertown store is an experience of Home. It’s not just shopping, it is entering a world where each item in the store is carefully selected and curated. It is design at its best…comfort first and foremost, and a place to sit yourself down, enjoy the atmosphere and experience it all! Each item, whether it be an antique, a lamp, a piece of furniture, earrings, books, or a child’s toy, is selected with standards of design, purpose, and style. We try our best to seek products made in America, products of enlightened companies, and products that have environmental concerns guiding their design and manufacture.
Hammertown has been selected as one of the Top 100 Stores in the country by Cottage Living Magazine. The editors of House Beautiful, in the January 2007 issue, selected Hammertown as one of their favorite shops. We invite you to come and visit a Hammertown store.
