About Your Instructor
Cal Patch has been a maker since she was a Girl Scout in the seventies. She sews, crochets, spins, embroiders, knits, prints, makes patterns, dyes… hence the name of her label of one-off handmade clothes and accessories: *hodge podge*. She has been teaching all of her fiber crafts at various shops and studios in NYC for the past decade. Her first book, Design-It-Yourself Clothes, was published in 2009. After seventeen years of being a city dweller, Cal recently relocated to the Accord, NY where she plans to be a crafty farmer. You can see what she’s up to at Hodge Podge Farm.
Cal’s book, Design-It-Yourself Clothes: Patternmaking Simplified, is available from Potter Craft.
